Syrah from the Oregon side of the Walla Walla appellation, sourced from a vineyard outside of Milton-Freewater, was brought to the winery in 2007 to make our first Syrah from that AVA.  In 2009 we again purchased Syrah from this same vineyard.  We are interested in a cool climate expression of Syrah and are planting Syrah at the Carlo & Julian estate vineyard and at another site within the Ribbon Ridge appellation.
